OligoScan
OligoScan is a quick, non-invasive palm scan that gives an in-clinic snapshot of your tissue mineral levels, trace elements and heavy-metal load. No needles, no hair sample, no waiting for a lab.

What it is
OligoScan is a handheld spectrophotometer, a light-based measuring device paired with analysis software. Leyla rests it on four points of your palm, it shines light into the tissue, and the software reads how that light is absorbed to estimate the minerals and metals held there.
The device touches the skin only. No blood draw, no hair, no urine.
Your report is generated on the spot, during the consultation.
A view of what has settled into the tissue, not just what is in the blood.
A different lens that sits alongside blood, hair and urine testing.
Spectrophotometry is a long-established laboratory technique, and the OligoScan technology has been in practitioner use for more than a decade.
What it measures
Calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, iron, iodine and more, the building blocks your body runs on every day.
Aluminium, mercury, lead, cadmium and others, the load your body has taken on from its environment over time.
Relationships between minerals, like sodium to potassium and calcium to magnesium, plus an oxidative-stress indication. Often where the real story sits.
A set of vitamins (A, B6, B9, B12, C, D and E) is also indicated on the report.
How it works
Every mineral and metal absorbs light in its own way, an optical fingerprint. The OligoScan shines full-spectrum light into your palm and reads how much of each fingerprint comes back, estimating how much of each element is present in the tissue.
Spectrophotometry and the Beer-Lambert law. Each element absorbs, reflects or emits light over its own range of wavelengths. The more concentrated it is, the more of its specific wavelength it absorbs, so measuring the light lets the device estimate how much is present.
A four-point palm scan. The device reads at a depth of about 4mm, through the skin and into the underlying tissue, where the light crosses the cell membrane to give a tissue-level rather than surface reading.
Known signatures, statistical ranges. A diffraction grating separates the wavelengths to detect each element, and tissue reference ranges are built statistically. Tissue ranges differ from blood ranges, which is exactly why the test offers a different, complementary view.
Why tissue testing is different
Blood can look settled while the tissue tells a different story. Each kind of test reads a different part of that journey. OligoScan is positioned to read the destination.
The transport system
What is circulating right now. The body keeps blood tightly regulated and moves minerals and metals in and out quickly.
The excretory record
What the body has cleared over roughly three months. Poor excreters can under-represent their true load.
The excretion capacity
How well the body can clear metals when prompted. A measure of the extracellular space.
The destination
What has been taken up and stored in the tissue, read at about 4mm depth, in real time and painlessly.
A different lens, not a better test. Leyla may use OligoScan alongside conventional testing.
What to expect
We note your date of birth, sex, height, weight and blood type, which the software uses for an accurate reading. Do not know your blood type? It can be checked in clinic.
The device rests gently on four points of your palm. Painless, no needles and no samples, and over in a couple of minutes.
A multi-page report is generated during your appointment, not sent away to a lab, and shared with you on the day.
Your results are discussed live and folded into your personalised plan, alongside your history, symptoms and goals.
Because it is fast and non-invasive, a follow-up scan is an easy way to see how your levels shift while you are on a plan.
Your report
You leave with a clear, colour-coded report: your minerals and trace elements, your heavy-metal load, and the ratios Leyla reads alongside them. It turns an abstract conversation into something concrete you can track over time.

Questions
No. The device simply rests on your palm. There are no needles and no samples.
The scan itself takes a couple of minutes, and your report is ready within the same appointment.
The analysis software uses it to produce an accurate reading. If you do not know yours, we can check it in clinic.
No, it is complementary. Blood tests show what is circulating; OligoScan gives a tissue-level view. They answer different questions, and Leyla may use both.
Yes, it is suitable for adults and children, which is part of why the painless, no-needle approach matters.
Re-scanning after a period on your plan lets us see how your levels have shifted. Leyla will suggest timing based on your situation.
