OligoScan is a quick, non-invasive palm scan that gives an in-clinic snapshot of your tissue mineral levels, trace elements and heavy-metal load. No needles, no hair sample, no waiting for a lab.
What it is
A light-based reading of your tissue.
OligoScan is a handheld spectrophotometer, a light-based measuring device paired with analysis software. Leyla rests it on four points of your palm, it shines light into the tissue, and the software reads how that light is absorbed to estimate the minerals and metals held there.

How it works
Light reads the fingerprint of each mineral.
Every mineral and metal absorbs light in its own way, an optical fingerprint. The OligoScan shines full-spectrum light into your palm and reads how much of each fingerprint comes back, estimating how much of each element is present in the tissue.

Spectrophotometry and the Beer-Lambert law. Each element absorbs, reflects or emits light over its own range of wavelengths. The more concentrated it is, the more of its specific wavelength it absorbs, so measuring the light lets the device estimate how much is present.
A four-point palm scan. The device reads at a depth of about 4mm, through the skin and into the underlying tissue, where the light crosses the cell membrane to give a tissue-level rather than surface reading.
Known signatures, statistical ranges. A diffraction grating separates the wavelengths to detect each element, and tissue reference ranges are built statistically. Tissue ranges differ from blood ranges, which is exactly why the test offers a different, complementary view.
Why tissue testing is different
Minerals travel in the blood and settle in the tissue.
Blood can look settled while the tissue tells a different story. Each kind of test reads a different part of that journey. OligoScan is positioned to read the destination.

We note your date of birth, sex, height, weight and blood type, which the software uses for an accurate reading. Do not know your blood type? It can be checked in clinic.

The device rests gently on four points of your palm. Painless, no needles and no samples, and over in a couple of minutes.

A multi-page report is generated during your appointment, not sent away to a lab, and shared with you on the day.

Is it painful?
No. The device simply rests on your palm. There are no needles and no samples.
How long does it take?
The scan itself takes a couple of minutes, and your report is ready within the same appointment.
Why do you need my blood type?
The analysis software uses it to produce an accurate reading. If you do not know yours, we can check it in clinic.
Is this a replacement for blood tests?
No, it is complementary. Blood tests show what is circulating; OligoScan gives a tissue-level view. They answer different questions, and Leyla may use both.
Can children be scanned?
Yes, it is suitable for adults and children, which is part of why the painless, no-needle approach matters.
How often should I re-scan?
Re-scanning after a period on your plan lets us see how your levels have shifted. Leyla will suggest timing based on your situation.
